Literature Text

Zexion finished packing his final suitcase and placed it on the bed. He looked around his bare room. I mean he never really had much in there anyways, but it still seemed emptier than it was.
“Zexion, honey, you almost done packing?”
“Yeah, I'm finishing up now. Is Demyx here yet?”
“No he hasn't shown up yet.”
“Okay, we'll give him a few more minutes.” Zexion grabbed his two suitcases and carried them down the stairs, being careful that he wouldn't fall. Zexion sat his bags by the door and sat on the couch beside his mom, who was trying not to cry.
“Mom, please don't start crying. You cried enough at graduation.”
“I'm sorry. It's just you're my only child and now I am going to be so lonely with you gone.”
“Well, you can go on more business trips with me gone too.”
“Yeah, I guess work can keep me busy.” Zexion and his mother sat there for ten more minutes before Demyx walked through the door.
“Hey Zexy.” Demyx said as he walked over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“I'm ready if you guys are.” Zexion said as he stood up from the couch and headed towards the door.
“Alright, your flight leaves in an hour.” His mother said as she grabbed her keys and took a suitcase with her to the car.
Demyx picked up the other, “Geez, Zexy why is this so heavy?”
“My books.”
“Did you pack all of them?” Demyx said jokingly.
“No, just my favourites.” Zexion said as he walked out to the car, got into the passengers side and buckled up. It took twenty minutes to get to the airport. For once traffic was on their side and they didn't have to wait too long.
“You have your ticket and everything, right?” His mom asked as they sat and waited for his flight to be called.
“Yeah, mom, you asked me that four times on the way here.”
“I know, baby. I'm just making sure you have everything before you leave me.”
“I'm not leaving forever. I'll be back in a few months.” He smiled at her.
“I know.” Zexion leaned his head on Demyx's shoulder. Demyx took Zexion's hand in his and held it; squeezing it.
“Demyx?” Zexion looked up at him. He could see Demyx was trying not to cry. He rubbed his eyes, keeping the tears from falling.
“I'm okay.” He sniffled and leaned over towards Zexion to kiss his forehead.
“You can cry if you want, Demyx.”
“I'm not gonna cry.” Demyx said, his lip quivering as he tried, but failed, to hold back the tear that rolled down his cheek. Zexion reached up and wiped the tear away with his thumb.
“Flight 1654 to Hanover will begin boarding in five minutes. Again Flight 1654 to Hanover will begin boarding in five minutes.” The loudspeaker caused Demyx to jump.
“I guess we should start heading up.”
“No, Zexion, you should start heading up.” His mother said. Zexion nodded and stood from his chair. Demyx stood up with him and hugged him hard.
“I'm gonna miss you, Zexy...” His voice cracked when he said his name.
“I'm gonna miss you too, Demyx.” Demyx leaned down and kissed him. A kiss that would have to last for several months. When he pulled away, Zexion took each of his suitcases and began walking towards  Gate 5 where his flight would be boarding.

Zexion and Demyx lay in Demyx's bed just staring at the ceiling.
“You know I leave in a couple weeks.”
“Don't remind me.”
“You're gonna be there to see me off, right?” Zexion asked as he sat up on his elbow and stared at Demyx.
“Why wouldn't I be there? I won't be able to see you for a few months afterwards.”
“I know. That was a pretty stupid question.” Demyx laughed at Zexion's comment.
“Just promise you'll try to talk to me everyday.”
“Of course, Demyx.” Zexion laid his head on Demyx's chest.”

Zexion sighed as he stood in line, a very long line. It felt like an eternity before the line actually began to move. And because Zexion is so lucky, he was last in line. The woman taking everyone's tickets looked like she just wanted to go home.
“Next.” She said looking straight at Zexion.
“How are you today, sir?” Not like she really cares. Zexion didn't answer, he handed her his ticket. But was deep in thought.
“Hello?”
“Huh oh sorry.”
“Have a pleasant flight.” She said with a fake smile.
“I don't think I will.”
“Excuse me?” Zexion dropped his bags, well more like moved them out of the way, and ran down the stairs he had climbed up to get there. He ran to where he, Demyx and his mother were sitting. They had already left. Zexion, being as short as he was, stood up on one of the chairs as he looked through the crowd of people leaving. And then he saw it. He could tell the back of Demyx's head from a mile away. He got down from the chair and began to run towards the crowd. The crowd began to dissipate and he lost sight of him.
“Demyx? Oh where did you go?” He looked around himself. He didn't see him anywhere.
“Demyx?!” Zexion yelled, hoping that he would hear him in t he almost empty airport. He kept moving ahead when he saw someone stopped looking around. That was Demyx. Demyx had heard him. Zexion ran towards him. He kept saying his name so he wouldn't leave.
“Zexy?” Demyx asked as Zexion ran into him, flinging his arms around him.
“Zexy, what are you-why are you here? You should be on that plane.”
“I can't, Demyx.” He buried his face in Demyx's chest. “I can't leave you.”

XxX

“Hey, Zexy, I'm home.” Demyx walked into the living room of their apartment. Zexion was sitting at his computer looking up something for a research project.
“How was class?” Zexion  asked looking up from his computer.
“Boring.” Demyx flopped onto the bed. “I hate math.”
“I hate this English class. I have two essays due in a week.”
“That sucks.”
“Yeah.” Zexion saved his work and laid beside Demyx on their bed. They laid there in each other's arms until eventually they fell asleep.
